Amma in Davangere

Amma's program in Davangere took place on the grounds of the city's Amrita Vidyalayam School. Amma was welcomed to the programme in song—three local women singing an original composition in classic Karnatic style. Padapuja was also performed. |

The chief guest of the night was the District Commissioner of Davangere, Sri. M.B. Dyaberi. After saying a few words in praise of Amma and the Ashram's charitable activities, he accepted the first copy of Amrita Utsav 2006, a souvenir book commemorating Amma's visit to the city.
Free food was served for one and all.
